The Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health (CICMH) is now accepting abstracts for presentations at its 2020 conference.
Bright Futures: Embracing Campus Wellness, set for Nov. 2-3 at the Hilton Toronto, will bring together leaders in campus and community mental health and addictions to build partnerships and discuss ways to innovate supports within post-secondary institutions.
This year’s campus mental health conference will look at campus wellness as the product of many factors. Food security, physical well-being, discrimination and sexual violence are among the issues students may face. When addressing mental health, these factors that impact the student experience should be considered.
CICMH is looking for highly-interactive, evidence-informed sessions that explore current challenges and provide solutions that enhance mental wellness on campus.
Five themes will be explored:
- Wellness and health promotion
- Diversity and inclusion
- Substance use
- The student voice
- Mental health strategies
Workshops should be 60 minutes in length. CICMH will also accept research posters for display in the main hall.
Abstract submissions close May 11. Learn more at www.campusmentalhealth.ca/conferences/2020/.
