Throughout Mental Health Week, Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario Division CEO Camille Quenneville has been featured prominently in the Globe and Mail, working alongside regular Globe contributor Dr. Bill Howatt to co-author four columns raising awareness about workplace mental health.
Using Howatt’s easy-to-follow, news-you-can-use format of awareness, accountability and action, the co-authored articles touch on several topics relatable to the workplace, including:
- how to start a mental health conversation with a colleague
- how to recognize – and correct – negative thinking
- where to start when you need a mental health accommodation at work
- what to do when your employee presents a mental health concern
The potential reach of these articles is estimated at approximately 11.8 million readers each.
Howatt, The Conference Board of Canada’s chief of research, workforce productivity, offered the opportunity to collaborate on his Mental Health Week content shortly after being named a keynote speaker at CMHA Ontario’s upcoming workplace conference, Roadmaps to Resiliency: Investing in Mental Wellness for Ontario’s Workplaces, set for May 13-14 at the Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre.
At the conference, hosted by Mental Health Works, Howatt will provide insights on the relationship between stress, mental health, resiliency and workforce productivity based on his over 25 years of experience in strategic human resources, mental health and addictions, and leadership.
