Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario Division is pleased to announce it has been accredited by Imagine Canada’s standards program.
The standards program awards accreditation to Canadian charities and non-profits based on a set of 73 standards that demonstrate excellence in five areas of operations. Accreditation is given to charities and non-profits that have taken action through the standards program to bolster trust with the public by identifying and reducing organizational risk, improving board governance practises, transparency with finances and fundraising, and fostering a strong workforce.
A peer review panel determined CMHA Ontario has successfully demonstrated compliance in all the areas covered by the standards.
“CMHA Ontario is thrilled to receive this accreditation from Imagine Canada,” said CMHA Ontario CEO Camille Quenneville. “This is a testament to the diligence our organization takes to be thorough, transparent and true to our cause in everything we do.”
“Recognition from the Imagine Canada standards program demonstrates that CMHA Ontario is a true leader in the non-profit sector,” said CMHA Ontario board chair Tom Walters. “The board is pleased to see CMHA Ontario get its due credit for being an exemplary organization in the mental health space.”
Imagine Canada is a national charitable organization whose goals are to amplify the charity sector’s collective voice, create opportunities to connect and learn from each other, and build the sector’s capacity to succeed.
