Individuals with a background in addictions, finance, indigenous mental health and/or the justice sector are particularly encouraged to apply to be Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario Division’s newest volunteer board member.
This is a challenging and rewarding volunteer opportunity to influence community-based mental health and addictions care in Ontario.
CMHA Ontario is a not-for-profit, charitable organization funded by the provincial Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Together with 30 local CMHA branches, we work to improve the lives of all Ontarians through leadership, collaboration and continual pursuit of excellence in community-based mental health and addictions services.
While the board is not directly involved in the operations of the organization, it is responsible for ensuring that CMHA Ontario adheres to its strategic direction. The board adopts and monitors the policies and procedures used by CMHA Ontario to ensure that goals are achieved and organizational risks minimized.
We encourage candidates with diverse backgrounds, experience, and expertise, including consumers and family members.
The deadline for applications is April 30 at 5 p.m. More details can be found here.
