With new data on the opioid crisis constantly emerging, CMHA Ontario’s resource to help reduce opioid overdoses has been updated to reflect new information.
Reducing Harms: Recognizing and Responding to Opioid Overdoses in Your Organization was developed for anyone who wants to learn more about how to use naloxone during an opioid-related emergency at home, at work or at play.
The resource has now been updated with information and a flowchart on where you can access intranasal and intermuscular naloxone in Ontario, as well as debriefing and distress prevention protocol for staff after administering an overdose reversal.
The toolkit is particularly useful for community groups who work with at-risk populations and is available for free on the CMHA Ontario website.
