The Excellence through Quality Improvement Project (E-QIP) has opened registration for winter sessions of the Introduction to IDEAS quality improvement training program. This one-day training session provides an introduction to quality improvement tools and methods that can be applied to help improve service and program delivery. The program being offered by E-QIP has been adapted for the community mental health and addictions sector and is intended for community agency staff and volunteers that are looking to gain practical skills in improving quality of care provided through their organizations.
This training program is based on the Health Quality Ontario & University of Toronto program called IDEAS (Improving and Driving Excellence Across Sectors). Sessions will be offered in Belleville, Toronto, Thunder Bay, Niagara Region, and Waterloo during February and March. Each session will be delivered by a member of the E-QIP Team including data and quality improvement coaches. For more information, including dates and registration links, read the latest E-QIP newsletter.
E-QIP’s Quality Improvement and Data coaches delivered a series of these training sessions to more than 100 participants this past fall in Kenora, Brampton, Sudbury, Renfrew, London and Timmins. Participants reviewed the program very positively, and the E-QIP Team is looking forward to being able to deliver these sessions to more parts of the province in 2017.
