CMHA Grey Bruce earned the big prize and its food forest will continue to blossom as a result. The branch was named the community resilience category winner of the Aviva Community Fund on Dec. 6, claiming $100,000 to help grow the program.
Operated by 12 CMHA Grey Bruce client gardeners, the food forest has been a community hub for three years. It includes a fruit orchard and 70 raised garden beds for vegetables, herbs and other edible plants.
