The Provincial Human Services and Justice Coordinating Committee will be sponsoring people with lived experience (PWLE) to attend the 2017 Provincial HSJCC Conference. From November 20 – 22, professionals from across the human services and justice sectors will come together to share promising practices, build networks and engage in solutions for the people they serve. A limited number of subsidies are available for individuals with lived experience of mental health conditions, developmental disability, acquired brain injury, drug and alcohol addiction, fetal alcohol syndrome, and/or have come into contact with the justice system.
The theme of the 2017 P-HSJCC conference is Walking the Path: Finding the Way to Wellness. The diverse range of speakers and workshops will explore issues like family and lived experience, self-care/wellness, concurrent disorders, developmental disabilities, mobilizing communities for system change, seniors’ issues, and mental health and justice program outcomes. The event will take place at the Toronto Marriott Eaton Centre (525 Bay Street).
These free registration opportunities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis for PWLE. If you are interested, please fill out the application form and send it to Joseph Szamuhel at jszamuhel@ontario.cmha.ca by October 20, 2017. Limited travel and accommodation funds are available for out of town guests—please indicate your specific needs in the application form.
