Health Council of Canada report recommends actions to improve Aboriginal seniors’ health

December 5, 2013

HCCreportcoverA new report from the Health Council of Canada calls on all levels of government in Canada to take action to improve the health of Aboriginal seniors. The report identifies that Aboriginal seniors experience poorer health than their non-Aboriginal peers, including higher rates of chronic diseases and conditions, but often do not receive the same level of health care due to poor communication, collaboration, and jurisdictional disputes.
