Caregivers 55 and over are invited to register for one of several Living Life to the Full courses booked in Toronto this spring. Living Life to the Full is an eight-week mental health promotion program that provides skills and knowledge to cope with life’s challenges. Groups of 10 to 15 caregivers are coming together to learn the principles of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) to feel happier and more in control of their daily lives.
The initiative, running since November 2015, has now reached over 250 caregivers aged 55 and over living in Toronto. Participants are reporting that the course has helped them realize they are not alone and are pleased to have practical tools to promote their health and wellbeing. We look forward to our next round of courses and the opportunity to reach more caregivers.
