Ontario asking for a new long-term health care deal

August 25, 2011

The Ontario government has asked the federal government to work with the provinces to help make a new long-term deal on health care. The federal government recently committed to a six per cent increase in health transfers however the federal government pays only 23 per cent of Ontario’s health costs.
