Registration has gone live for the 3rd annual Mental Health for All Conference, happening in Montreal this fall, October 22-24.
The Mental Health for All (MH4A) Conference, now in its third year, plays a unique role in uniting the people and ideas that stand for mental health in Canada.
This year’s theme is Ahead by a century: the shape of things to come. With CMHA’s first 100 years in the rear-view mirror, this conference is all about getting ahead of the next hundred years through health promotion, illness prevention and innovation.
“We don’t wait for stage 4 cancer – we promote physical health, we work to prevent illness, and we treat it early. Mental health should be no different,” said Dr. Patrick Smith, CMHA National CEO.
On Days 1 and 2, the MH4A Conference will feature international speakers and carefully selected workshops, designed to propel us into the next century of mental health.
A special third day, presented by CMHA Quebec Division, is devoted to understanding and exploring mental health and the environments that surround and affect us all. The focus is on environments, in the plural, taking in all human-made and natural environments, including the urban, social, economic and ecological.
The conference site is the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel, a gem among hotels. Only just redesigned, it is a special place where environmental ingenuity and sustainability meet a vintage flair that celebrates the rich history of Montreal.
It will be a conference, in a city, like no other.
