Registration is now open for the Mental Health For All Conference, an industry-wide event to be held on Sept. 29 and 30 which aims to benefit individuals and organizations across the mental health, mental illness and addiction sectors. The conference will be held in Toronto and will feature a national focus on information sharing and partnership between industry thought leaders, researchers, policy makers, service providers and front line staff. The theme “Together by Design” reflects that purposeful innovation and collaboration are the keys to overcoming barriers, improving access to services and ensuring positive outcomes.
To kick off the conference, CMHA Ontario is hosting a pre-conference day called Measuring Our Success: Quality Improvement in Mental Health and Addictions on Sept. 28. Many CMHA branches are involved with exciting quality improvement related initiatives, and the Ontario pre-conference is a great opportunity to showcase our work in this area.
The day will be jam packed with exciting learning opportunities, with sessions related to the theme of Quality Improvement, including a special panel on E-QIP, a new provincial quality improvement initiative. Keynote speakers for the event include astronaut and aquanaut Dr. Dave Williams and Dr. Cheryl Forchuk, Associate Director of Nursing Research, Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing & Assistant Director, Lawson Health Research Institute.
