Schools invited to join national Stop A Bully program
The Stop A Bully program, co-sponsored by Canadian Mental Health Association, was developed to provide assistance to any student in Canada who needs help stopping severe school bullying and harassment. The violence prevention service includes a website that provides a Bullying Reporting System and online victim support letters to provide assistance to students who are targets of bullying, and a Bullying Deterrent program that operates in schools to increase awareness and accountability. Students, parents and school staff are encouraged to submit a request to add their school to the program to reduce acts of bullying. Participating schools receive promotional materials to make students aware of the service. For more information about the program, visit www.stopabully.ca.
