Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Ontario is featured in Mediaplanet’s latest edition of Mental Health, a print and online publication that appeared in Metro newspapers in Toronto and Ottawa on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. In the article, Camille Quenneville, CEO of CMHA Ontario, urges students facing mental health issues to seek help, utilize the resources available on campuses and within their communities and, to remember that they are not alone.
“The bottom line is that students are not alone when times get tough during this transition period in their lives. Support is available both on and off campus. Learning to cope with mental health issues is a valuable skill young people can learn on the road of life,” Quenneville said.
Mediaplanet’s campaign aims to dismantle the stigmas and discrimination associated with mental illness and, ultimately, educate and empower Canadians to take control of their own mental health wellness.
