On October 16, 2012 the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) awarded six Canadian organizations for their contributions to improving the lives of people living with a mental health issue or mental illness. The 5th Anniversary National Mental Health Awards recognize Canadian initiatives that have demonstrated leadership, creativity and commitment to the advancement of our collective understanding of mental health problems and illnesses.
We are delighted to announce that “Mental Health Works”, an initiative of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario Division, was this year’s winner of the Workplace Award.
Mental Health Works is a national and bilingual program dedicated to advancing workplace mental health through skills enhancement training, awareness education and stigma reduction. Activities include training workshops, customized solutions for organizations, consulting services and research.
