Toronto, ON – The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Ontario Division’s Your Health Space program, is set to host its first-ever symposium, Leaders Advancing Wellness: Sharing Strategies for a Flourishing Health Care Workplace. This landmark event will take place in downtown Toronto on April 29 and 30, 2025, bringing together healthcare leaders from across Ontario.
The symposium will explore actionable strategies to foster psychological health and safety in healthcare workplaces, a critical issue as chronic workplace stress continues to impact healthcare professionals. With engaging discussions and solution-oriented panels, the event aims to promote collaboration and innovative thinking within the sector.
This symposium provides an important platform for healthcare leaders to come together, share insights, and pave the way for a mentally healthier workplace environment. It also serves as a meaningful lead-up to Mental Health Awareness Month in May.
The event is seeking abstracts from organizations and individuals with expertise in workplace mental health. Submissions should align with the symposium’s theme categories, showcasing solutions-focused approaches to enhancing mental health in healthcare. The deadline for submissions is December 16, 2024.
Additionally, the symposium invites sponsors and exhibitors to showcase their services to a targeted audience of healthcare leaders. Registration for the event opens in January 2025.
Your Health Space, developed by CMHA Ontario, offers free psychoeducational training to Ontario healthcare organizations, helping staff address workplace stress and fostering conversations around mental health.
