Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario, is pleased to announce that Dr. Brian Goldman will be a keynote speaker at its 2019 annual conference.
Goldman is a veteran emergency room physician and one of Canada’s most recognized and trusted medical media personalities.
As a broadcaster, he has been the host of the award-winning show White Coat, Black Art on CBC Radio One since its debut in 2007 and has also been an award-winning reporter for CBC TV’s The Health Show and The National.
As an author, he has penned three national bestsellers: The Night Shift: Real Life in the Heart of the E.R. (2011), The Secret Language of Doctors (2014) and The Power of Kindness: Why Empathy Is Essential in Everyday Life (2018). In his most recent work, The Power of Kindness, Goldman calls for greater empathy in healthcare and the rest of the world.
The 2019 CMHA Ontario conference, The Quality Culture: Building Better Together, takes place April 1-2 at the Marriott Eaton Centre in Toronto. The event will bring together board volunteers, agency leaders and clinical/front-line staff to discuss the integral role everyone plays in creating a “quality culture” in the community-based mental health and addictions sector.
