The Excellence through Quality Improvement Project (E-QIP), a partnership initiative between Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario Division, Addictions and Mental Health Ontario and Health Quality Ontario, is hosting a webinar Tuesday, Feb. 5 that will discuss strategies to improve joy in work within the community mental health and addictions sector.
The webinar, titled Enhancing Joy in Work for Professionals through Improvement, will be led by Dr. Chris Hayes, chief medical information officer for Trillium Health Partners, an associate professor in the University of Toronto’s department of medicine, and a faculty and clinical improvement advisor at the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement.
A recognized health care industry leader in patient safety and quality improvement, Hayes will share his insights into how quality improvement work can and should enhance health care sector employees’ joy in work. Hayes will also share thoughts on why it’s important that some quality improvement projects specifically target staff satisfaction and joy in the workplace.
The session is appropriate for clinical, support, administrative, management and executive leadership staff working in Ontario’s community mental health and addictions sector.
Register for this E-QIP webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST.
Since 2016, E-QIP has been working with the community mental health and addictions sector to enhance the ability of agencies within this area of health care to understand and apply quality improvement methods. To date, E-QIP has offered quality improvement project-coaching support to agencies, created an extensive training and education program, and developed an online community that serves as a portal for quality improvement resources and sharing.
