Women’s College Hospital is holding the first annual Pride in Health Social Networking Event. This event is intended to create opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) staff and allies to connect within the health care community. Toronto city councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam will be the keynote speaker.
The event also coincides with the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Bipohobia, which takes place on May 17th. This day of action is a worldwide celebration of sexual and gender diversities, and aims to coordinate events internationally that raise awareness of LGBT rights across the globe.
The reception will take place in the Pink Cube at Women’s College Hospital (76 Grenville Street, Toronto) from 5:00 – 7:00 on May 17th. This event is in partnership with Women’s College Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children, and Sinai Health System.
