Partnerships for Health System Improvement (PHSI) is a program from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) that funds teams of decision-makers and researchers to conduct applied and policy-relevant health services and systems research. Successful teams are eligible to receive up to $500,000 over three years. Up to $1 million from the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) and up to $6.9 million from CIHR is available for research projects in the priority area of mental health and homelessness. Eligible projects must be complementary with the MHCC’s multi-site Research Demonstration Projects in Mental Health and Homelessness. Applicants interested in the PHSI program and partnership support from MHCC must submit to the commission a brief research summary and page one of CIHR’s partnership module by September 3, 2010.
