Linda Chamberlain, a psychiatric survivor and award-winning mental health champion, has published a book sharing her inspiring journey through illness and homelessness. The 88-page scrapbook details Linda’s incredible life through the struggles of addiction, poverty and mental illness and her commitment to advocating for social change despite personal hardship. It is truly a story of the triumph of the human spirit.
“People think those with experience of mental illness and addiction can’t do anything, but we can. We can make change happen and help other people and pay it forward.”
– Linda Chamberlain
The book is available both online and in print format, at cost. Print books will be available at a special book launch hosted by CMHA Ontario on June 11, 2013 from 4-6 p.m at 180 Dundas St. West, Suite 2301,
19th Floor in Toronto.
To buy printed copies of “Not Anytime Soon” for $10, contact John Stapleton at jsbb@rogers.com. Electronic copies are $5 and available at the Open Policy Ontario website. While no profit will be made from book sales, in keeping with her commitment to “pay it forward” Linda is hopeful that people will contribute to one of her humanitarian efforts: People and Pets, the Linda Chamberlain ‘Pay it Forward’ award or the Linda Chamberlain fund at CAMH.
