The Canadian Mental Health Association, Toronto Branch is once again offering their free workshop series, “Opening Doors.” This project is aimed at strengthening, fostering and cultivating healthier communities in Ontario and is particularly beneficial to newcomers to Canada, mental health survivors and mental health professionals.
By creating “safe spaces”, CMHA Toronto cultivates more inclusive and welcoming environments for new immigrants and refugees who face mental health challenges. Anti-racism and anti-stigma strategies around mental illness are also key themes in the workshops.
