The Social Aetiology of Mental Illness (SAMI) Training Program is now accepting applications for fellowships beginning in September 2010. SAMI is based at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the University of Toronto, but includes international partners from across the globe.
SAMI is a centre of excellence for the study of the social determinants of mental illness and addictions. The program objective is to establish a growing network of researchers who conduct investigations that lead to evidence-based practice, as well as prevention and promotion work to support mental health. The training program includes a 10-week didactic course followed by 40 weeks of mentored personal and collaborative research.
The application deadline has been extended to June 30, 2010.
