CMHA Ontario invites you to join us in supporting mental health as we participate in GivingTuesday on Nov. 30.
In the same way that Black Friday opens the shopping season, GivingTuesday opens the giving season, uniting charities, companies and individuals in the spirit of giving. Canadians participating in the international GivingTuesday movement are encouraged to join in, give and volunteer for their favourite cause.
The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively affected many people’s mental health and created new barriers for people already suffering from mental illness and substance use disorders. The latest polling data commissioned by CMHA Ontario shows that only a third of Ontarians (35 per cent) consider their current state of mental health as ‘very good’ or ‘excellent,’ a significant decrease from 52 per cent as recorded in its first poll in 2020.
CMHA Ontario and our branches work daily to deliver quality care to those who need support. Your donation will help foster resilience and recovery for those who are experiencing mental health issues, enhance workplace mental health and provide education and training to youth.
During this season of giving, you’ll be making a meaningful gift to many people across Ontario who will cope with a mental health issue in the coming year. Please donate today.
