Health Quality Ontario (HQO) is currently recruiting individuals that are interested in sitting on a provincial committee that will advance the development of quality standards in Ontario. The committee will include professionals and individuals with lived experience of the health care system (patients, family members and other informal caregivers) to provide advice to Ontario’s quality standards program.
Key roles for this committee will be to recommend topics for Quality Standards, review Quality Standards and adoption plans, develop a coordination strategy for HQO’s Quality Standards to align with other clinical guidelines and standards in Ontario, and assist with communicating Quality Standards information to the broader health care system in Ontario. The deadline for applications is Monday, April 10, 2017.
Quality Standards are a new form of evidence-based guidance developed by HQO on topics that are identified as high priority areas for quality improvement in Ontario. Quality Standards are intended to support health care professionals in providing the best care possible, and to help patients, caregivers and the public know what high quality care looks like.
