The fall issue of Resources Magazine, the trade publication of the Human Resources Professional’s Association, prominently features a CMHA Ontario resource: The Evolution of Mental Health Programs.
The three-page timeline, on page four, highlights the progression of mental health services and accessibility in Ontario from 1983 to 2016.
The timeline highlights milestones, including the National Drug Strategy (1987, 1992), A Provincial Strategy to Coordinate Human Services and Criminal Justice Systems in Ontario (1997), Out of the Shadows at Last: Transforming Mental Health, Mental Illness and Addiction Services in Canada (2006) and Better Mental Health Means Better Health: Annual Report (2015). The timeline illustrates Ontario’s dedication to improving the condition of mental health policies and services over the years.
CMHA Ontario was pleased to contribute to this issue of the magazine, which focused on workplace mental health.
