Registration is now open for the Excellence through Quality Improvement Project’s (E-QIP) next webinar, Using the OCAN for Improvement. The webinar will take place on January 25, 2017 from 12 to 1:15 pm and is intended for community mental health and addictions staff and volunteers interested in quality improvement. The Ontario Common Assessment of Need (OCAN) tool is a standardized, consumer-led decision-making tool that allows key information to be electronically gathered in a secure and efficient manner. Many mental health and addictions service providers in Ontario are using the OCAN or planning to use the OCAN with their clients. This educational session will provide an overview of how this tool can be used in quality improvement work within organizations. Community Care Information Management and two community organizations, Oak Centre and CMHA York and South Simcoe, will present on the use of OCAN to support a culture of quality improvement.
