Data files from the 2009/2010 and 2010 Canadian Community Health Surveys are now available for public use from Statistics Canada (StatsCan). The files include data collected from approximately 13,000 individuals, aged 12 or older, from all provinces and territories.
Data is available from 98 health regions across Canada, and for indicators such as: physical activity, height, weight, smoking, exposure to second hand smoke, alcohol consumption, general health, chronic health conditions, injuries, and use of health care. Socio-demographic, income and labour force information is also available.
The data product consists of a CD-ROM with a built-in “Beyond 20/20” application. Interested individuals can request the product from Statistics Canada.
