CBC Toronto is launching a special week-long series that focuses on university and college students coping with mental health issues. The network is calling the coverage Off Course on Campus: The Student Mental Health Crisis. The series begins on October 28, 2013 and will be available on television, radio and online. Viewers can tune in to CBC television to watch the series on weeknights at 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Radio listeners can also listen to coverage on Metro Morning on weekdays at 5:30 a.m. Those wishing to read stories online can visit cbc.ca/toronto.
CBC Toronto will also host a special town hall discussion for students, their families, healthcare workers, mental health advocates and administrators who have either dealt with mental health issues themselves or support students with mental health challenges.
The town hall meeting will take place on October 30, 2013 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Fleck Atrium located at 105 St. George Street at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business. Doors open at 7 p.m.
