Former NHL goaltender and mental health advocate Clint Malarchuk shared his personal experiences of mental health issues during a keynote address at the CMHA Ontario conference.
Malarchuck told conference delegates that even after suffering from a terrible neck injury during his hockey career, he went back to work almost immediately, despite experiencing severe anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. His mental health journey is chronicled in his new autobiography, The Crazy Game: How I Survived in the Crease and Beyond.
CTV Toronto’s Pauline Chan sat down with Malarchuk and CMHA Ontario CEO Camille Quenneville at the conference to talk about his experiences. Visit the CTV website for the full video.
