Canadian junior hockey’s most celebrated tournament, the Memorial Cup, is taking place in London, Ontario and CMHA is there to spread the news about mental health.
Volunteers from CMHA branches Middlesex, Oxford County and Elgin County have been busy staffing an information kiosk at the Memorial Cup’s Fanfest zone, which is attracting thousands of fans and curious locals.
The space for the CMHA information kiosk has been provided free-of-charge in a prominent location allowing for excellent exposure for the organization and branches. The public interest in informational materials has been high and there’s been plenty of conversation about mental health. People have asked about services, how to volunteer and contact information.
A special thanks to the Canadian Hockey League for providing the opportunity and to CMHA Middlesex for spearheading the initiative locally.
