Canadian Mental Health Association, British Columbia Division’s eighth annual Bottom Line conference, to be held March 2-3, 2011 in Vancouver, British Columbia, will focus on psychologically safe workplaces.
The conference will bring together business leaders, policy-makers, researchers and workers to improve mental health in workplaces and to share learning on how to strengthen their organizations and prevent harm or threats to workers’ mental well-being. Presentations and workshops will focus on promoting worker’s psychological safety, and preventing threats to well-being in the workplace such as bullying, harassment, lack of support from co-workers and supervisors, poor and inconsiderate management practices, and lack of control over growing and changing work demands. The program is of interest to directors, supervisors and human resource professionals, union representatives and claims/disability officers, post-graduate students in administration and health sciences, and people with mental illnesses and/or their families.
Early registration for the conference (including reduced rates) closes January 14, 2011, and the regular deadline to register is February 16, 2011.
