Canadian Mental Health Association, Durham Region and Durham Mental Health Services have released a new resource guide to help families navigate the mental health system in Durham Region. The guide provides information for families about finding and connecting with services, planning for the future and working towards recovery. Topics in the guide include coping with crisis, managing hospitalization, income and housing supports, and legal issues. The guidebook was produced in partnership with a family representative from the community and with consultation from local service providers. The book costs $10.
