HC Link’s biannual conference, “Linking for Healthy Communities”, will bring together approximately 150 people working in a variety of settings and sectors across the province of Ontario to learn and share experiences and strategies for building healthy, sustainable and resilient communities. The theme of the 2013 conference is: Creating community change by engaging our communities, working in partnership, and fostering environments and conditions that support health. The event will feature plenary presentations, small group sessions, workshops, and opportunities for sharing and networking. It is anticipated that portions will be held in French to meet the specific needs of francophone communities. Sessions will address three conference streams:
- Community engagement;
- Environments and conditions to support healthy communities; and
- Policy work and development.
The conference planning committee invites proposals and suggestions for sessions that promote shared learning, the exchange of experiences and/or explore innovative approaches in building healthy, sustainable and resilient communities.
Expressions of interest as well as suggestions for presenters working in the area of healthy communities are requested by May 31, 2013.
HC Link is funded by the Government of Ontario to work with community groups, organizations, and partnerships to build healthy, vibrant communities across Ontario through consultations, learning and networking events.
