The provincial Human Services and Justice Coordinating Committee (HSJCC) has opened the call for abstract submissions for their 2015 Conference. The conference, titled “Mobilizing Community – Promoting Resiliency, Sustaining Recovery & Restoring Justice” will be held from November 16-18, 2015 in Toronto. The 2015 conference committee is seeking abstracts from individuals or agencies across Ontario who can contribute solution-focused knowledge, expertise, innovations, and best practices that would enhance, complement or expand the services and systems in place.
Abstracts for either a 60- or 90-minute presentation or, a poster presentation related to the conference theme and the following streams, will be accepted:
- Concurrent Disorders/ Developmental Disabilities
- Aboriginal / Culture Perspectives
- Family / People with Lived Experience
- Self Care/Wellness
- Seniors
- Youth – Social Media / Bullying / Suicide Veterans / Post Traumatic
- Forensic
- Veterans / Post Traumatic
The HSJCC is a multi-ministerial body convened by the Ontario government to improve policies and outcomes for people who come into contact with the justice system and who have needs which can be met by one or more of the provincial human services system.
