The Provincial Human Services and Justice Coordinating Committee’s (HSJCC) 2013 Educational and Training Provincial Conference call for abstracts is now open. The conference, titled “New Realities: The Changing World from Youth to Elderly in Human Services & Justice” will be held from November 25-27, 2013 in Toronto. The HSJCC is seeking abstracts from individuals or agencies across Ontario who can contribute solution-focused knowledge, expertise, innovative and best practices that can enhance, complement or expand services and systems currently in place. The conference program will reflect a range of themes while showcasing the new realities in human services and justice relating to youth, the elderly and the changing world that affects them.
Abstracts for 60 or 90 minute presentations as well as poster presentations related to human services and justice on the following streams will be accepted:
- Concurrent Disorders/Developmental Disabilities
- Aboriginal /Culture Perspectives
- Family/People with Lived Experience
- Forensic
- Self Care/Wellness
- Seniors
- Youth – Social Media / Bullying / Suicide
- Veterans/Post Traumatic Stress
The deadline for submission is April 5, 2013.
