Participants are welcome to an upcoming forum to discuss the Health Equity Impact Assessment (HEIA) tool. Realizing the Potential of HEIA: Lessons Learned Event takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 from noon to 5 p.m. at CAMH, 33 Russell St., Meeting Centre room 2029.
This event will bring both experienced and new users of the HEIA tool together in-person and online to discuss benefits and challenges of conducting HEIA.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Kwame McKenzie, CAMH’s Medical Director, Underserved Populations and keynote speakers include a representative from the Saskatoon Health Region as well as Dr. Ketan Shankardass of the Centre for Research on Inner City Health. This free event is being hosted by members of the HEIA Community of Interest, including the Health Equity Office at CAMH, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care,, Health Nexus, the Wellesley Institute, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario, and Public Health Ontario.
