People in the Greater Toronto Area have been reminded that it is Mental Health Week (May 5-11) 2014 in a very special way. Canada’s tallest free-standing structure, the iconic CN Tower, was lit green at sunset on Tuesday, May 6 to promote the annual week used to raise awareness about mental health and reduce stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness.
CMHA Ontario, in conjunction with Children’s Mental Health Ontario, co-applied to the CN Tower to illuminate the downtown Toronto landmark and will do so again in subsequent years.
Do you know of other Canadian landmarks that CMHA should try and illuminate for Mental Health Week next year? If so, please let us know. Tweet us at @CMHAOntario or connect with us on Facebook.
