A few webinar spaces remain for the think tank about racialized communities, mental health and addictions, and emergency department (ED) use in Ontario. This webinar will feature live streaming of an event hosted by the Community of Interest (COI) for Racialized Populations and Mental Health and Addictions on March 26, 2013 at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. You can still join us virtually – Registration is open for a morning or afternoon live-stream (webinar) of the event!
Keynote speakers are Camille Orridge, CEO, Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network and Anne Bowlby, Manager, Mental Health and Addictions Unit, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Plenary speakers will share promising practices for community-hospital collaboration for ED diversion, policing and ED protocol, and peer support in the ED. Findings from our consultation with providers and people with lived experience of radicalization and mental health issues will be shared.
For details and registration, please visit the COI website or contact Jenna Hitchcox at jhitchcox@ontario.cmha.ca or 1-800-875-6213 ext. 4142.
