The Mayor of Windsor, Eddie Francis, recently proclaimed that May will be recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month across the southwestern Ontario city of about 200,000 people.
In the proclamation, the City of Windsor recognizes that mental health disability is an enormous business and economic issue, costing Canadians billions of dollars annually due to lost productivity. The proclamation also recognized CMHA Windsor-Essex County Branch for the mental health support it has provided to residents of the community for over 35 years.
