The Mental Health Series project, a partnership between CMHA Ontario and Motion Picture Enterprises, received significant web exposure over the past two months thanks to Yahoo Canada. The project was featured on various Yahoo Canada pages and was viewed more than 1.25 million times. The web exposure highlighted the impact of stigma on youth and encouraged viewers to help change attitudes.
Yahoo Canada provided pro bono advertising services to spread awareness about the project as part of a crowd funding campaign.
The Mental Health Series project will create a 12-part video focused on tackling the stigma of mental illness among youth. Motion Picture Enterprises hopes to provide the series free to schools and online.
