On October 16 and 17, the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) held a Leadership Assembly in Ottawa to nurture ongoing collaboration, foster new partnerships and renew vision within the field of mental health.
Topics included mental health in primary care, the fight against stigma, expanding the options in housing, suicide prevention, mentally healthy workplaces, the importance of data and evidence in improving outcomes and the elements necessary to promote recovery.
Mental health leaders from across the country met to recognize important achievements in the field, as well as identify additional ways in which people and organizations can collaborate to overcome current issues.
