Participants, partners and leaders in the Mood Walks educational walking program for older adults with mental health issues have a new resource to draw upon now that that the first edition of “The Mood Walker” has been published. The newsletter offers different tips on hiking safety, health benefits of spending time in nature and how to manage increased levels of physical activity. July’s newsletter also features the success of one Mood Walks hiking group facilitated by CMHA Elgin County.
Mood Walks is an initiative of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario, in partnership with Hike Ontario and Conservation Ontario.
