The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) recently brought the message of promoting mental wellness in the workplace to a global audience at the Asia Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) High Level Meeting on Health and the Economy. More than 100 delegates from 21 APEC economies heard about the compelling results of the MHCC’s Case Study Research Project, which is following 40 Canadian organizations as they implement the world’s first National Standard on Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace Workplaces are recognized as important contributors to personal mental well-being, with the health or harm created in workplaces impacting families, communities and society as a whole. CMHA promotes the National Standard on Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace through our social enterprise Mental Health Works (MHW). Mental Health Works provides capacity building workshops on the Standard to both employers and employees.
