On January 22, 2013 the Provincial Human Services and Justice Coordinating Committee (HSJCC) in partnership with the Evidence Exchange Network (EENet) hosted a webinar on communicating with correctional facilities. This webinar is now available for viewing online on the HSJCC Community of Interest Web Portal.
Communication between community service providers and correctional facilities is crucial to client-centered care and safety. Communication is also essential for early identification and intervention for individuals with mental health and addictions conditions. This webinar offers strategies for enhancing communication across mental health, addictions, human services and justice sectors, and is based on the HSJCC Info Guide, “Strategies for Community Service Providers for Engaging in Communication with Correctional Facilities in Ontario.”
This webinar is intended for individuals and organizations that provide services to people with mental health, addictions and other human service needs and are involved with the criminal justice and correctional services systems.
