Mental health has far reaching effects and touches virtually every one in some way.
To help raise awareness of mental health issues, the World Health Organization observes World Mental Health Day every year on October 10. World Mental Health Day provides an opportunity for everyone working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.
The theme for 2014 is “Living with Schizophrenia” and the focus of the World Health Organization will be living a healthy life with schizophrenia.
