The Ontario government has asked the federal government to work with the provinces to help make a new long-term deal on health care. The federal government recently committed to a six per cent increase in health transfers however the federal government pays only 23 per cent of Ontario’s health costs.
Ontario is requesting more health care reforms to help meet the needs of Ontario’s aging population and to focus on increasing options for seniors in their homes and communities.
