The Ontario government has announced a review into the implementation and effectiveness of amendments to the Human Rights Code that took effect June 30, 2008.
Mr. Andrew Pinto, a prominent human rights and employment lawyer, and adjunct professor at the University of Toronto, has been appointed as the lead in this review. Public consultations will be held and it is anticipated that the review will be completed by the spring of 2012.
