Senior Pride Network (SPN) is hosting their 6th conference on sexuality and aging. This year’s theme is “Opening the Closet on Aging”, focusing on the history of activism and advocacy in the older (50+) LGBT communities.
The conference will be held on November 28 and 29, 2011 at The 519 Church Street Community Centre, in Toronto. Keynote speakers include Rinaldo Walcott, Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Sociology and Equity Studies, OISE and Camille Orridge, CEO of the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network. Other speakers and presenters include LGBTQ activists and experts from health care, mental health, sexual health, journalism, HIV and AIDs, legal rights, long-term care, bereavement and supportive housing.
